Part B of the story is a little sad, just like the last parts of the Ramayana. In the current day story, Dave breaks up with Nina. The worst part of it, he just sends her an email telling her not to come back when she is in New York. Nina is heartbroken. In a way, this reflects how Sita must have felt when Rama banished her to the forest while she was pregnant.

Despite Sita being tested by fire, and Rama accepting her back, Rama heard something along the lines of "I am not like Rama to take back a woman who has slept in another man's house." The comment was coming from one of his subjects, and because of this, Rama thought his subjects did not respect him. So he banished Sita.

Sita tries to end her life but is rescued by Valmiki. She then gives birth to children, Lava and Kusha, they are twins, and they are Rama's sons. Valmiki raises the twins to praise Rama and teaches them prayers and songs.

One day, Rama heard them singing and was impressed. He then saw Sita, and then he knew they were his sons. He asked them to come back to the palace and rule with him. Sita was asked to do another trial to prove her purity. Sita called upon mother earth and asked her to take her if she was pure, mother earth took Sita.

I really enjoyed the singing and the different styles of animation. In the present storyline, eventually, Nina recovers from her break up and becomes better and stronger. Both the present storyline and the Ramayana deal love misfortunes. I guess the Ramayana is one of the greatest breakup stories ever told.
