Arjun kidnaps Subhadra with the help of Krishna and takes her to Indraprastha. She falls in love with him. Balram wanted to wage war against the Pandavas but was convinced otherwise by Krishan. After 12 years Arjun returned to Indraprastha, and greeted his brothers. He was not sure how Draupadi was going to approve of his new wife, but she likes her. Arjun and Subhadra married.
Subhadra announced that she was pregnant and they decided to name their baby Abhimanyu. The baby would listen to all of the stories Arjun told Subhadra except one day she fell asleep before Arjun could tell her how to overcome the seventh circle of the chakravyuh. The baby did not have this knowledge. As Abhimanyu grew up and became a warrior, this proved to be his downfall.
The Pandavas made many alliances over the course of their reign. Yudishtira wanted to become the emperor so that he may sit in Indra's court. All but a couple of Kings opposed him. After Jarasandha was slain, Yudishtira became the emperor.
After a humiliating incident at the Pandavas court, Duryodhan bowed to destroy his cousins. With the help of his uncle, Shakuni, they came up with a plan to beat the Pandavas with a game of dice.
In the game of dice, Yudishtira lost everything. He lost his fortune, his kingdom, his brothers, himself, and even Draupadi.
