Draupadi grows up to be a beautiful princess and Drupad organizes a swayamvar for her. Princesses and brahmans alike wanted to attend to win the hand of the princess in marriage. Arjuna won the challenge set forth by Drupad.
Arjuna wins Draupadi hand in marriage after displaying his extraordinary talent with the divine bow. Karna was humiliated by Draupadi during the swayanvar. After the ceremony, the Pandavas set forth in the journey taking Draupadi with them. When they got to the house and announced to their mother, Kunti, they were home. Kunti thought that they had returned with food and declared that whatever they brought back, they would share among themselves equally. When she saw that they brought back Draupadi, she did not take back her words. Debating among themselves a sage told the Pandavas that in a previous life Draupadi had prayed for a husband with five virtues, and she was destined to marry five husbands in this life.
The Pandavas are called back to Hastinapur by the Kauravas and Dhritarashtra crowns Yudhishthira the King Khandavprasth. Pandavas reach the barren land of Khandavaprasth with Krishna. They build a beautiful palace and transformed the land into a beautiful city called Indraprastha.
Arjuna violates the pact he made with his brothers and has to go in exile. He leaves and has quite some adventures... I am thinking of adapting some of the stories of Arjuna adventures during his exile.
