Topic Research: The Chiranjivi (Immortals)

Vyasa, Source: Wikimedia

For my project, I chose the Chiranjivi. There are seven long-lived personalities in the Hindu pantheon, described by the Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, and the Puranas. According to their Wikipedia article, "each represents a different attribute of man, which as long as they live, will exit amongst humanity." For the project, I want to explore the Chranjivi and the attributes they represent.

Here are three of the main Chiranjivi that I researched:

Author of the Mahabharata, he represents erudition and wisdom.

God of strength, knowledge, and Bhakti. Lord of Celibacy and Victory. He stands for selflessness, courage, devotion, strength, and righteous conduct.

6th avatar of Vishnu, he carries traits that included aggression, warfare and valor, serenity, prudence, and patience.

I also want to include Vibhishana, Ashwhatthama, Mahabali, and Kripa.
