My Favorite Storybooks

I am not very familiar with any of the Indian mythology which is why I am excited to take Indian Epics. The storybook, Krishna, piqued my interest because I was sure that I had heard the name before. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out the introduction was a summary of who is Krishna, written by Krishna himself. The writing style along with its format and images drew me into the story. The stories are told in the first person and have some lighthearted humor, which adds to the character of Krishna. I really enjoyed this storybook, I could even consider telling a story from a god's perspective in my own storybook.

Creation Stories is an interesting storybook, the statement "the beginning of the end" in the home page is intriguing, seeing how the title is "Creation Stories," and ties back with the concept of cycles in Hindu religion. The intro does a great job of explaining the content of the content, and the format and pictures are consistent and add to the overall style of the storybook. I will definitely use an interesting homepage title to attract the attention of the reader. I thought the storybook was very informative.

Indra Lord of Thunder is a great storybook. The home page title "Indra Vs. Thor and Zeus" was the thing that piqued my interest. The introduction was also really good, drawing me into the story and making me want to read more. The intro also ends with great cliffhangers "Will Thor and Zeus' alliance last with Indra in the picture? What will each of them decide to do?". I also like the way in which the story is dived. It almost seems like a movie script with its three main acts. Great storytelling and overall a great storybook.
